As summer gradually comes to an end, I’m enjoying the last moments with some fun, bright lip colors with our new one ColorLuxe Moisturizing Cream Lipstick. I usually wear a lot of black, so pink, orange, and coral are my go-to lip colors to add a playful touch to my look. I also prepare for fall by experimenting with deeper, bolder shades. Burgundy, plum and rich red tones bring a sense of warmth and sophistication to my makeup look.
The ColorLuxe tube feels soft and tight in your hands. The lipstick glides on smoothly and the cap feels tight and secure. There is a color swatch sticker on the bottom of the tube, so you can easily pick the right shade from your kit.
I’ve had a bit of a vermilion kick this summer and… Poppy matched my nail polish and necklace, so I took this as a sign to start my ColorLuxe journey here. Poppy is a warm medium-dark orange-red shade that melted on my lips and felt super nourishing. I am impressed with how much pigment it has while still feeling weightless. I am absolutely obsessed with this lip colour. The second picture was taken a few hours later, I was drinking a few glasses of water and a snack. The color still stays strong with no side effect! The formula has dried in a lot, but my lips still feel hydrated.
Next one in our hydrating lipstick range is Peony, a cool medium fuchsia shade. Peony has a fun, cheerful appearance; wearing it will make you feel happy and energized. I’m gonna have it this lip color available for end of summer parties.
Candy apple is a gorgeous, cool red hue reminiscent of sweet treats and warm, cozy sweaters. This is the perfect fall lipstick to wear to festivals and pumpkin patches.
passion fruit, a cool shade of dark fuchsia, is the perfect balance of boldness and playfulness, making it an ideal choice for both casual and formal events this fall. This shade will definitely become one of my favorites lipstick fall to colour.
Finally, Bordeaux. This shade surprised me. It is a deep burgundy color that seemed too dark to me at first glance, but once applied it gave a romantic and sophisticated atmosphere. Perfect for a fall date night. I’m in love!
My general thoughts — ColorLuxe is a moisturizing lipstick that feels light, creamy and nourishing like a lip balm, but has the color and staying power of a lip stain. I found myself forgetting I was wearing it and was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful my lips looked when I saw myself in the mirror. My favorite part is how easy it was to apply, one swipe gave me all the color I needed. If you want a nourishing, lightweight yet highly pigmented lip color, I definitely recommend giving ColorLuxe a try — and don’t be afraid of the bold and bright colors!
