Better than Dublin? According to the Irish star, that is what some tourists are enthusiastic about After their recent trip to one of the biggest surprises in Ireland.
If you have previously had the chance to visit Dublin, you have probably been in the middle of the bustle of the city.
You know … people who spin to make it work on time and all the usual sights, sounds and aromas of the iconic metropolis of the world.

Although there are not many well-known names in Ireland from a global perspective, recent travelers have nothing to say about glowing things about coastal charm, authentic nature, relaxed vibes for pub hopping and soaking art and music scene of this underestimated outing.
Not to mention the fact that there are a postcard -worthy castles to visit speckled throughout the province.
Of course, you could end the summer with an epic journey, or you can wait patiently for autumn.
That is when this coastal façade is really shining with nice festivals and fewer crowds before the winter cold shivers make the lively city out of Galway Much less desirable until spring sun arrives.
Dublin Decline: Unveiling of the clear location of Ireland

Ireland is really a bucket list destination for travelers, although 2025 has not exactly been peaches and cream for what is normally one of Europe’s most wanted destinations.
A recent report Claims that Ireland’s tourism is at a ‘turning point’, but that does not seem to be put off to travelers from visiting places like Galway.
However, Dublin is a different story …
We at Travel Off Path treated the lack of appeal of Dublin earlier this year, largely because of heavenRocking prices, especially in terms of airline tickets.
The irony that Dublin is is the home of perhaps Europe’s most popular (for better or worse) budget airline, Ryanair.

However, the hesitant hesitant to currently exceed Ireland of their travel expenses list should not be deterred. There are several Irish airports to fly in from the US, including nearby Shannon, where you can catch a $ 10 bus ride to the city.
The best of all is that you can tackle Galway with a budget, while Dublin finds out how you can approach 2026 better.
The lively city of Ireland
In one way or another, Galway masters both relaxed and lively, with fascinating boho-vibes and music that echoes every corner in the heart of the city from a seemingly.
Galway is known for buskers. You have probably seen them in America from time to time, but our culture does not always embrace them like Galway does, where it is completely normal to see street artists with euros that open guitar cases.

While the New York metro stations only seem to welcome rats …
Buskers are the backbone of Galway’s Entertainment, even outside in the Nippy Air of autumn, their favorite tunes, both Irish hits and Indie Rock.
There is no need for festivals here, although the city calendar Is packaged during the fall.
Quay Is one of the best places to take free live music (but a few dollars saving is encouraged).
Of course it is not a trip to somewhere in Ireland without taking a bar stool in an old -fashioned pub and your lips with a pint of Guinness.

Pubs are abundant and a great way to get involved with friendly locals, happy to welcome you in their highly underrated hometown.
Here are a few of the favorites of Travel Off Path for both Guinness and music:
Swap Coastlines for Castles: Fulfill Your Fairytale Dreams
Galway is one of the most beautiful coastal destinations in Ireland. It may be surprised that Galway is the home of a few Blue Flag-certified beaches.

The disadvantage is that the window decreases quickly for the summer sun! Autumn brings cold weather, not suitable for what you would imagine for an ideal beach day, although the view is stunning all year round, especially the Cliffs from Moher.
Instead, pack a jacket and fulfill your fairy -tale dreams. There are countless castles to visit on the outskirts of the city, many of which will be chased with a natural curtain of lush, radiant tree lines that show vibrant autumn tones.
According to TripadvisorThese are the top 5 castles to visit in Galway in 2025:
- Kylemore Abbey & Victorian walled garden (shown above)
- Aughnanure Castle
- Portumna Castle
- Clifden Castle
- DUNGIRE CASTLE
