Do you know Palm Springs, Joshua Tree and Coachella, but do you know Palm Desert?
Those looking for a social holiday can overlook all the above in favor of a beach holiday, but why skip what feels like a tropical oasis covered with rows of Regal Palm Trees and even anterior rice chairs on a pond with flamingos, which adds an unexpected touch of exotic attraction?
As a recent guest of JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & SpaI am here to tell you that running from the summer sun should be the last thing you think of with JW’s wild growth of glittering swimming pools, a spa of world class and canopied boot rides to escape from desert consumers.

Relax the swimming pool with a handmade cocktail like their signature BlackBerry Bourbon SmashBook the Spa’s Sanctuary Retreat With his own private Cabana and Jacuzzi, or wake up with an ice coffee on the site Starbucks and press the links for a round of free mini golf Under the shadow of palms.
Don’t let the words “desert” and “summer” force to miss one of the most important resorts of South California.
The pros certainly outweigh the disadvantages, but let’s dive for a thorough assessment of the best aspects of JW Marriott Palm Desert Springs & Spa, and a few improved areas.
Cool in style! Socal’s best alternative to busy beaches
Have you been to San Diego, Laguna Beach or Santa Monica in the summer? If you have done that, you know for sure that half of Arizona and their mother were also flowing there.
Despite the immersing visitor numbers of the Golden State, the beaches of California still buzz from June to labor, while the inhabitants of the neighboring state escape from the desert heat.

Ironically, the JW is a Maas in the law. No, there are no waves for surfing or carnival rides on the beach, but there are countless ways to stay cool while enjoying part of the most underrated landscape of California.
One of my favorite aspects was that although JW is family friendly, it didn’t feel on a pair of pairs. Rarely did you hear a beep of crying back rats or children who “Cannonball!” Shouted.
Have I just gone out with myself?
There are 5 outdoor swimming pools – 3 In the center, essentially serves as an island in front of the boat route, 1 hidden swimming pool behind the ball halls and a separate saltwater swimming pool only for Spa guests with the friendliest cocktail server you will ever meet. That guy was on it!
Beating the heat is no problem. I stayed at the end of May and the Temps already reached 90. Between the bath water pools, spacious spa services, covered boat trips and patios on the water, you don’t fool yourself to think that you book an expensive holiday that you regret.

As a resident of San Diego I can really say that this summer I would choose JW Marriott Desert Springs this summer above the crazy crowds of Mission Beach.
For further context, my beloved Nana is no longer with us (God rests her soul), but even she would not remove her characteristic summer movement from stopping ice in her bra.
“You have to drive on the boats!”
For my journey, regardless of how many people I told me where I was going for the weekend, the reaction was all a variation thereof – “You have to drive on the boats!”.
To be honest before JW was brought to my attention, I had no idea that the boot rides existed, but it is certainly the claim of the resort on fame.
Although it is absolutely not Venice, it is a nice excursion to enjoy the background of Woestijn landscape of stunning mountains, the quiet, reflective waters of the hotel, and to be honest, to get your bearings entitled to a huge building of 450 hectares (although much of it is a golf course).
I paid $ 10 per person for the ride and it was definitely worth it. There are several drop-off points, including the aforementioned Central Polish, but I chose to stay on board for the entire loop because the landscape was so lively and pleasant.
Moreover, the beautiful breeze let me forget that I was in the desert for about 20 minutes.
As I said, don’t expect Venice-like gondola experience because these are small, electric boats, but JW does offer a new one Sailing in love proposal package If you are looking for the perfect romantic outing to ask the question.
It has a nice * ring * against it if you ask me.
The highlight of pampering: relaxing, charging and being treated as royalty
The JW has been drawn for everyone, including the rich and celebrities. I was told during my stay Mark Davis, the owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, the resort, just like Doja Cat, and probably many others who hold a low profile with their check-in Aliass, although Hugh Jass does not fool anyone …

It is no surprise why A-Listers opt for luxury here. JW Palm Desert is categorized as a 4-star resort, but I believe it should be 5-star based on only the spa.
When you walk in, you will be welcomed by a warm, expert employees who are able to answer a laundry list with questions, because your boy has a hard time being luxurious.
Everything, from the plush robes, co-ed lounge, the Finnish sauna and the Turkish steam bath, exceeded all expectations, but there is no doubt SanctuaryYou can book online here.
This spacious suite was so chic and private, I did not want to go back to our actual room, how comfortable the bed and amazing the view of the mountains were.
You are equipped with a robe -upgrade, cozy fireplace (not that you need it in the summer), cable -TV, a rain shower and private courtyard including a jacuzzi With a step -by -step waterfall to balance the heat.

Not to mention the fact that you have assigned your own personal butler, so that you do not have to have the comfort of the suite ordered from the savory Spa Bistrothat I the AHI Poke Bowl Investigated.
Improvement
As chic as the JW Marriott brand is known, guests expect the best because they pay premium prices.
Nutrition problems:
For clarity, eating throughout the board was incredible. Even something simple as a chicken sandwich managed to tempt me to order a second round.
The only meal that missed the goal was at MikadoThe Japanese steakhouse on site, which requires a reservation.
Would I recommend it? Yes, but more for the overall Teppanyaki experience with highly trained chefs that show off impressive knife skills, mandatory onion fillinganos and what should be perfect (or almost perfect) appetizers.
If you have never been to a Japanese steakhouse, it is anything but guaranteed that at least one patron is chosen for a game without an official name, so we just call it shrimp throwing.

It was my happy day, and I was a good sport about it, but after throwing, the chef had to wait until I was ready to chew, and he seemed surprised – probably because shrimps did not have the consistency of boat leather. In general, the experience was fun, but no one wants to stay disappointed for an expensive menu.
Go for the best Asian food from the hotel on the lobby JW Sushi Bar. I would eat every meal there if I am lucky to visit again.
Room problems:
My girlfriend and I got a standard King Room with an epic view of the mountains, but there were some household problems. Let’s say that no guest wants to play a game without an official name, but we call this: “Is that blood or makeup on my towel?”
Late-night noise was also a problem. I would request a room from the ice cream maker from the floor, because the built walls of the resort showed their age.
In general we loved our stay despite a few hiccups. Employees were contagious, resorting grounds are flawlessly clean (minus one red -colored towel), and the spa of world class is a destination in itself.
