As Tourism Minister Marsha Henderson confirmed in the release, the country is on an ‘upward trajectory’, with 2024 poised to be one of tourism’s best years yet, and looking for the year ahead ‘even larger numbers’ are expected.

A monument on the UNESCO list, Brimstone Hill Fortress was built by African slavesand it is one of the best preserved fortifications in America, while charming Basseterre has a central square modeled on London’s Piccadilly Circus and a Victorian clock tower, despite its French name.

The best thing is that this country receives hundreds of thousands fewer tourists every year, much less in combination with other sunny competitors that receive millions of tourists, it feels much quieter in comparison with quieter hotels and beaches.
Furthermore, this is a very safe destination by Caribbean standards, listed as one by the US Department of State Level 1 destination: In non-technical terms, this means that Americans should not take any additional precautions beyond those they would normally take abroad.
These include booking guided activities through reputable providers to avoid scams, staying in designated areas for tourists and not leaving valuables and personal items unattended in public areas such as beaches.
