Popular American streamer and content creator Kai Cenat arrived in Lagos on Wednesday and paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at the Lagos House, Marina. The visit was announced in a statement shared on X by the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Jubril Gawatwho noted that the online personality met with the governor to discuss his experiences in the state.
According to the statement, Kai Cenat shared positive impressions of his time in Lagos and described his stay as enjoyable during his second visit to the state and Nigeria. The statement also revealed that the YouTuber is in Lagos to follow up on projects and initiatives he plans to implement in support of children and youths across the state, indicating that his visit will focus on youth-oriented development efforts.

R&B singer Mýa has announced her 10th studio album, Review, marking her first full-length release in eight years. The project, which will be released this spring via her independent label Planet 9 in collaboration with Virgin Music, will be her first album since 2018. TKO (the knockout). Mýa revealed the news during an appearance on Sherri, where she described the album as a reflection on the music that shaped her upbringing and early career. She also teased a short list of collaborators, including 21 wild And Joyner Lucas.
Review is led by the single “ASAP,” released on January 30, which combines late ’70s and ’80s funk and soul with contemporary R&B production. The United States has deployed a small contingent of troops to Nigeria, marking the first officially recognized military presence in the country since U.S. airstrikes targeted terrorist positions in the northwest on Christmas Day 2025. The deployment follows airstrikes ordered by the U.S. president in December. Donald Trump against what he described as Islamic State-linked targets, after indicating that further US military action could be taken in Nigeria if necessary. It was reported that prior to the attacks, the US had already been conducting surveillance flights over Nigeria from neighboring Ghana since late November, providing intelligence for the operation.
According to reports, the troop deployment comes as a result of a bilateral agreement between Nigeria and the United States aimed at boosting cooperation against escalating terrorist threats across West Africa. The Commanding General of US Africa Command (AFRICOM) spoke at a press conference. Dagvin RM Anderson said the agreement had deepened cooperation, including the deployment of a small US team with specialized capabilities to support Nigeria’s counter-terrorism efforts. The Nigerian Minister of Defense, Christopher Musaalso confirmed the presence of American personnel. Security sources said the team is likely involved in intelligence gathering and operational support against extremist groups such as Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa (ISWAP).

The Walt Disney Company has announced this Josh D’Amaro as the next Chief Executive Officer, with the Board of Directors voting unanimously to elevate the Chairman of Disney Experiences to this role effective March 18, 2026. D’Amaro will succeed the former CEO Robert A. Iger following the company’s annual meeting and is expected to join Disney’s Board of Directors immediately thereafter. D’Amaro, a 28-year Disney veteran, currently leads the company’s largest business segment, Disney Experiences, which generated $36 billion in revenue in fiscal 2025 and employs approximately 185,000 Cast Members and employees worldwide. The Board of Directors commended his leadership in overseeing the largest global expansion in the segment’s history and driving growth in financial performance, creativity and guest satisfaction.
In addition to D’Amaro’s appointment, Disney announced this Dana Waldenco-chairman of Disney Entertainment, will become President and Chief Creative Officer in a newly created role, reporting directly to the new CEO. Iger, who has guided internal candidates through the succession process, will transition to Senior Advisor and remain on the Board of Directors until his retirement at the end of 2026.
