If you have been in San Diego for a beach holiday, you probably know that checking water conditions near the border with Mexico is about as typical as starting a coffee in hand day.
What is not typical is to feel the need to check for dangers as far north as Cardiff, one of my favorite local seaside resorts for a quiet break from city life.
If a San Diegan over the past 10 years or so, I can confirm that this is not normal for the advice spreading so far away from Tijuananas apparently non -stop sewerage spuw – and it gets worse.
With the July 4 weekend around the corner and a sizzling heat wave that wiped the nation, if they were not melted in melted this week, residents from the neighboring Nevada and Arizona will certainly build our roads this week hoping to score a place on San Diego’s beautiful (and now bacterium-filled) kisses.

Trendy and affordable: My favorite beach alternative
If the pattern applies until the summer, it seems that it continues to the north you go to avoid the stream of bacteria.
That is why I believe that OceanSide must be on your radar. O’Side, as the local population calls it, is the northernmost beach city of San Diego County.
