The report analyzed 64 countries in six key areas – from visa options and taxes to quality of life and innovation – and Spain came out on top with a near-perfect score of 99.67.

The report highlights how digital nomadism has evolved from a niche subculture to a global lifestyle movement. Since 2020, 91% of all visas for digital nomads have been launched worldwide – and Spain has led this wave.
Launched in 2023, The Spanish digital nomad visa gives external employees from outside the EU the opportunity to live and work in the country as much as possible five yearswith one of the most attractive tax regimes in Europe.
