This year’s Cannes Film Festival was one for the books. For starters, the slate of new films has been both vibrant and laudatory: projects like Sean Baker’s AnoraYorgos Lanthimos Types of kindnessand Andrea Arnold’s Bird lead the pack with unique stories and exceptional casts. The red carpet in Cannes, meanwhile, was just as exciting: Hollywood stars descended on Cannes for their various premieres and screenings, armed as always with their most glamorous evening wear.
While the 11 days of fashion provided plenty of memorable moments (see all the highlights here), there were 15 A-listers whose wardrobes in Cannes Real dropped on. Whether it was actors like Zoe Saldaña who evoked the quirkiness, or supermodels like Naomi Campbell breathing new life into vintage dresses, the Cannes carpet provided all kinds of nice surprises. (Blink and Bella Hadid suddenly wore two Versace dresses in one day.)
The film festival earned its reputation as one of the glitziest in the world for good reason: celebrities were ready to shock and awe with their elegant looks, and these 15 in particular did not disappoint.
