The best-dressed stars of recent days have been those who embraced designs with bold finishes, whether latex, cutouts or high-shine sequins. As we approach the beginning of summer, Hollywood celebrities are ringing in the new season with a vibrant fashion spirit. The bandage consensus? It’s time to stop playing it safe.
In Shanghai, Oscar-winning actor Michelle Yeoh attended the resort’s 2025 Balenciaga show in one of the label’s disco ball dresses. The silhouette, complete with a deep neckline, was alternated with a classic black overcoat: the perfect mix of modest and cool. Another star who nailed the approach? Daisy Ridley, who reinvented the classic LBD in a latex Atsuko Kudo style. Chloë Sevigny, meanwhile, leaned more ethereal in her babydoll-shaped dress from Renaissance Renaissance, one of today’s hippest fashion brands.
Florals also had a moment on the scooter and repeats this week. (It is still spring, after all.) Kylie Minogue dazzled in an Erdem floral dress with bow detail; Dakota Fanning opted for an elegant Oscar de la Renta dress with floral embroidery; and British actor Greta Bellamacina slipped into a tulle Simone Rocha dress with floral embellishments — the high-fashion equivalent of a bouquet.
