You know what I’m talking about – it’s time to plan that trip that you have postponed.

At Travel Off Path we understand. Choosing your next vacation is a long task, especially for those who work a traditional 9-to-5 with a limited PTO.

The good news is that Mexico is never a bad idea. Although it can be a bit everyday to follow the same crowd with the same travel schedule year after year.

No offense on Cancun, but we don’t all want to deal with elbow-to-elbow crowds and fight for a swimming bark pressure.

There are 4 exciting new ways to explore Mexico this year; Nothing are experiences with Cookie-Cutter.

Travel tip: Before you dive in, view the latest tools from Travel Off Path to help you navigate Mexico, such as the Tipping Guide from Mexico.

4) Hop on board newly upgraded ferry from Baja to underestimated Paradise

The Sea of Cortez is one of the most beautiful locations in Mexico, ranging from excursions at sea itself to charming hiding places, such as Loreto and La Paz.

The latter has become a trendy hotspot for Cabo tourists to venture outside their luxury resorts and to discover a quiet seaside resort with epic seafood, much cheaper prices and demonstrably the most amazing beach of Latin -America, Balandra.

What travelers may not know, is that A passenger spring boat departs from La Paz (Port of Pichilingue), connects the tip of the sea of Cortez with the underrated paradise of Mazatlán, sometimes overlooked because of the location in Sinaloa.

Mazatlan is the exception to the rule when following travel advice, because this beautiful town is safe, affordable, charming and becomes a thriving expat/nomad destination.

The Cabo -star I just became a member of the Baja Ferries fleet too much fanfare as it is The largest ferry in all of Latin -AmericaCarefully designed for extra comfort to attract more passengers.

3) New San Diego Ferry sends you directly to Mexico’s “Napa”

As San Diegan, I counted the days for the launch of the first international ferry service from San Diego to Baja, where I bypassed the busiest border in the world for what is promised to be a seamless trip to the popular port city of Ensenada.

What is really promising is that Ensenada is no stranger to maritime traffic, so it would be thought that hiccups have to be resolved quickly.

The launch date for the Azteca -spring boat is officially set for July 24 After many setbacks.

This is what we know for sure, according to the publication based in Mexico, El Imparcial:

  • Azteca Ferry will wear a Mexican flag and employ Mexican staff (hence the Spanish-formulated website)
  • The journey takes approximately 90 minutes
  • There will be no stops (it is a direct route in both sides between San Diego and Ensenada)

Once you have arrived in Ensenada, you will find yourself at the end of the famous “Rute de Vino” in the lush vineyards of Valle de Guadalupe and Tiktok-worthy wineries that extend to a much calmer Border City, Tecate.

2) Endless journeys?! Take advantage of the unlimited pass from the Maya train

Do you remember when the Maya train was the most popular ticket in Mexico? Well, that changed quickly after all reported accidents that made travelers wondered whether they should have just stayed back in their resort versus trying to explore Mexico as much as possible.

Things have shifted again, as travel experts at The Cancun Sun This year report a remarkable 250% peak in travelers.

One can only imagine an important reason for the increase in the Maya train train unlimited passAbout the following 11 stations for Only $ 270:

1) New airport = New Adevntures: Explore Tepic & Beyond

History was written this week with the very first American flight to the new international airport of Tepic, which is not only an invitation to explore this cheap, historic city for most of the radar, but also as a gateway to the unexplained beaches of Riviera Nayarit in the shadow of nearby Puerto Vallarta.

The coastline of Riviera Nayarit has more than 200 miles of unspoilt coasts, anchored by some remarkable names that you should definitely express, such as San Blas and my personal favorite, Sayulita, which I had the pleasure of visiting last spring.

Americans have a few flight options to go to Tepic this year:

  • Volaris from Los Angeles (launched on July 19)
  • United from Houston (launch on December 20)
