Because we are now officially in the autumn season, charming small cities are becoming all the more tempting as if we immerse ourselves in a Feature film.
One of the most picturesque regions on the west coast is the wine country of California, not only to enjoy adult grape juice, but also to enjoy the outdoors in the fresh Norcal Bries.

Of course we all know Napa and perhaps a handful of others like Santa Rosa, but another neighboring city is ready to be hoisted in the spotlight with a newly opened train station.
Whether you are looking for the city gravel of San Francisco or the hustle and bustle of Napa, this hiding place at closer came just closer.
Now accessible to the train for the first time in decades, it’s time to let the Upity’s Napa have for itself while you fall in love with the idyllic city of Windsor.
Where in the world is Windsor?

Windsor, California is one of the best autumn -bent gems of the Golden State – and it realizes the ‘golden’ part through its glowing trees and lively vineyards.
But if you are more here to browse than visit wineries, Shiloh Ranch Regional Park Is just the place in the coming months.
Before the train recently arrived, many tourists from the Wijnland probably skip Windsor, because it is not an understanding in the shadow of Napa and has not been easy to reach.
But they are wrong!
There are countless picturesque wineries spread over the city and cozy bars in the city center to enjoy the taste of locally produced wine and perhaps also a charcuterie board.

Bricoleur -Wijngaarden Is perhaps the most famous, with an almost perfect Google rating with praising reviews.
A recent visitor stated: “This place is great! We have done the rooted link with 5 jobs, 6 wines and a bonus glass Welcome Mousslling”.
Add: “The wine and food combination was done flawlessly”.
Save gas! Jump on board the new smart train
No genius is needed to realize the value in Windsor’s new ones Smart train (Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit).
Have you seen the gas prices in California? Try to control my jeep …

Although gas is always a shock for tourists from the state, another cool aspect of Windsor is that they really want visitors, unlike many places spread all over the world who protest against tourists.
The local population was especially enthusiastic for a new train station with hope of becoming a fully-fledged tourist destination for years, regardless of whether you are looking for a serene hiding place that wants to visit charm from the small city or visit crowd-free vineyards without the operation of Napa.
Now that the new train is now active, journeys start in 4:35 am because ‘silent zones’ were lifted. But you may want to question your life decisions if you try to find a winery so early …

However, the point is not a shortage of journeys here – and there are still a few stops in the works just beyond Windsor (Healdsburg and Cloverdale).
The Full route is stated below:
- Spur
- San Rafael
- Marin Civic Center
- Novato Hamilton

- Petaluma downtown

As you have probably noticed, Windsor is only one stop away from the Sonoma County Airport train station, so that you can completely avoid the hassle of flies in San Francisco.
Rates are charged per zone, starting at $ 1.50 for a few journeys and covered at $ 7.50 if you stay within 5 zones (age 18 and lower ride, just like seniors 65+)
The only other way to get here next to a road trip is by one ferryboat from San Fran.
Main residence or day trip?
According to Visit Windsor, ‘the best day trips in Windsor’ start.
There are so many wonderful cities to explore north of San Francisco, such as Petaluma and Healdsburg; It’s hard to limit because you really can’t go wrong.

What Windsor really has for it is plenty to do and see, even though it is in the initial phase of rail care – and there are abundant stay ready to welcome you with open arms.

Katie Phillips, Director of Sales of Hampton Inn, stated: “With the Smart Station opening, our original goal was to put Windsor on the map of tourist destinations.”
Continuation, “Windsor has this unique mix of charm and Wijnlandse refinement in a small city. The train changes the mentality of Windsor that is out of the way to Windsor as a big escape.”
