Political tensions related to government policy: Activists and civil society organizations have criticized certain federal initiatives, claiming they threaten democratic norms or do not adequately address social inequality.

Remembrance-related activism: November 20, the anniversary of the Mexican Revolution, traditionally sees heightened political expressions and demonstrations that draw attention to contemporary struggles for justice and rights.
