Lagos has been deep into its fashion fever dream era lately, jumping from one big event to another without so much as a breather. First came the Virtuoso Fashion Show, which delivered dramatic silhouettes and experimental fits that reminded everyone exactly why Lagos holds the crown for creative dominance. Then, without missing a beat, the city slid straight into the 606 Autos wedding, a luxurious parade where couture details, soft glamor and unapologetic opulence had guests vying for the perfect camera angle. And just when it felt like the buzzing couldn’t get any louder, Funke Akindeles Behind the scenes premiere closed down the city with a red carpet that doubled as a masterclass in movie star polish and major Lagos energy.
Amid all this stylish chaos (the good kind), the girls came out with looks. Sophia Momodu Showing what quiet luxury really means, he stepped into Entertainment Week Africa in a nude mini-set that oozed confidence. Meanwhile, Ayra Starr, as expected, rejected subtlety and embraced a mauve fur wrap over a lace-trimmed underskirt with high slits for the lead character’s full energy. Even on vacation, Hilda Baci refused to clock out and paired a crisp button-up crop top with oversized deep blue denim for that “soft, life-laden” vibe. Together, these moments feel like Lagos is writing a weekly fashion diary in real time, and honestly, we’re lucky to be witnessing that.
