The attraction of international tourists to Los Cabos has been increasing recently. According to the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) from January to November 2023, a total of 2 million 74 thousand visitors arrived through this airport. This figure represents an increase of 6.6% compared to the same period in 2022.

Of the 19 million foreign visitors who visited the country from January to November, 14,926,000 travelers flew through Cancun, Mexico City (AICM) and Los Cabos airports.

This is 4.3% more than in the first 11 months of 2022 and 12.7% more arrivals than in the same period in 2019.

This means that Los Cabos Airport ranks third among the airports that attract the most tourists worldwide, especially from the United States, Canada and Colombiathe main sources of tourist passengers for Mexico from January to November 2023.

From January to November 2023, 8 million 992 thousand international tourists arrived at Cancun Airportt, an increase of 5% compared to the first 11 months of 2022; 3 million 860 thousand tourists came to AICM, 1.4% more than in the period January to November 2022; and Los Cabos Airport received 2 million 74 thousand international tourists, 6.6% more than in the same period of 2022.

According to data from the Ministry of Migration, the 19 million foreign tourists also exceeded the arrivals registered in the period January-November 2019 by 14.2%, when 17 million 85 thousand international tourists were registered.

In the first eleven months of the year, the arrival of American tourists by air reached 12 million 89 thousand tourists, it exceeds the figures recorded from January to November 2022 by 3.3% and increasing the number of arrivals by 28.2% in this period in 2019, when there were 9 million 430 thousand tourists.

Canadian tourist arrivals by air in the period January-November 2023 amounted to 2 million 114 thousand visitorswhich is 45.3% higher than the figure of one million 455 thousand tourists who arrived in the same period in 2022, and by 5.4% higher than the number recorded in the same period in 2019, namely 2 million 5 thousand tourists .

In the months of January to November 2023, Colombian tourist arrivals by air amounted to 668,049 tourists, exceeding the 541,568 arrivals in the same period of 2019 by 23.4%.

Of the other nationalities, 4 million 641 thousand tourists were counted, an increase of 3.3% compared to January-November 2022 and a market share of 23.8%.
