TThe tentative schedule for New York Fashion Week (NYFW) Fall/Winter 2024 was recently unveiled by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). The event takes place from February 9 to 14 and features a diverse line-up of more than 70 designers presenting their work through physical catwalk shows, digital presentations and showcases by appointment.
The opening act on February 9 is presented by Peter Doe who will unveil his second collection for Helmut Lang. The NYFW schedule will conclude on February 14th by CFDA Chairman Thom Brownewhich promises a grand finale of the week.
Returning designers include Carolina Herrera, Coach, Collina Strada, Eckhaus Latta, Elena Velez, Khaite, LaQuan Smith, Michael Kors, Jason Wu, Jonathan Cohen and Proenza Schouler. It is highly anticipated due to the return of Gabriela Hearst, who presents her first collection since leaving Chloé in September 2023. Monse, Lafayette 148, Delpozo and Libertine are also making a comeback on the NYFW schedule.
In addition, the program includes the debuts of promising talents such as Bishme Cromartie, Callas, Colleen Allen, Jane Wade and Meruert Tolegen. Emerging designers such as Diotima and Zankov, runners-up in the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, will present their collections alongside finalists Kim Shui and Tanner Fletcher. CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner Melitta Baumeister will debut digitally.
A notable highlight is Ludovic de Saint Sernin’s highly anticipated global debut on February 11, presenting his brand’s first runway show outside Paris in New York City.
