Rends come and go, and then return with extra vibrancy and daring. Bold colors, asymmetrical silhouettes and creative embellishments alternate to re-express their importance in the grand scheme of fashion. Recently, Nigerian fashion stars have made it a mission to reinvent fabulous fashion and the idea of statement fashion, revealing that looking fashionable requires a healthy dose of effort.
This week was another opportunity for celebrities and style stars to show what makes them tick, both in action and in style. During the day Veeke James’ fashion masterclass and other red carpet events, everyone performed in their element, but the common denominator was an impenetrable sense of style.
Check out the cool looks spotted at Veekee James’ fashion masterclass and other events…
#1. Veeke James
On the final day of Veekee James’ fashion masterclass, the talented Nigerian designer was a glowing goddess with her head-to-toe glittering look. She wore a bejeweled dress from her brand, styled with an embellished bag, white platinum hair and icy silver nails. Her masterclass followed the traffic of her headline-making wedding, trusting her to arrive correct, snatched and ready to secure the bag.
#2. Sharon Ooja
Last weekend the internet woke up to the news of Sharon Oojas wedding. That explains the glow and hot JPEGs the star girl has been serving up back to back. She posed in a structured mini blush dress and black strappy pumps, which she wore to a Multi Choice conference ahead of the prestigious AMVCA Awards. The scalloped hem dress featured a plunging neckline, peplum detail at the waist and exaggerated sleeves. Although the dress had intricate details, it appeared simple and polished, matching her overall character.

#3. Tomike Adeoye
We’re heading out to host the final night of Veekee James’ fashion masterclass, Tomike Adeoye was a bag of golden perfection. She wore a hand-embroidered dress from the brand with gold and black beads splattered with precision and paired it with a matching mini clutch. She completed the look with a center updo done to perfection and understated makeup.
#4. Nancy Isime
Host with the Most, as she calls herself, Nancy Isime hosted the 2024 Ikon Awards in an all-over cowrie dress by Nigerian designer Ateni. The look consisted of a figure-hugging dress with cowrie details, paired with a cowrie hair ornament, earrings and a bracelet. The media girl wore this look with the confidence of a goddess in her prime.
#5. Veeke James
Veekee James set Naija’s social media streets on fire in a two-tone trouser set. She wore a two-tone off-the-shoulder top and plain wide-hem trousers on day two of her masterclass and finished with a matching East meets West bag. Combining different shades of the same color is both safe and daring. For this Erikan look, where the color hit hard, the cuts increased the offering even further. Murder is indeed a fusion of silhouette, color, cut and calm. In this case they were all present.

#6. Hilda Baci
Standing up for her best friend Hilda Baci arrived at Veekee James’ fashion masterclass in a Mulawwan set with frayed hem. The top showed off frayed edge pockets, slanted button-down details and split sleeves, while the trousers added to the polished charm of the fit. This blue outfit matched the pumps perfectly and the black bag broke the monochrome allure with its brown accents. It’s good to see focused young ladies joining together and supporting each other.
#7. Veeke James
Simply put, this past week was Veekee James’ week. She pulled off a stunning back-to-back look with her signature cinched waist. The designer also appeared in another elegant offering for Veekee James’ fashion masterclass. This time it was a white and black blazer with an asymmetrical hem, paired with pleated wide-leg trousers. Black and white have always been a hit, and this outfit did not disappoint.
