Some days (especially running errands) the thought of putting together a very polished ensemble seems, well, redundant. But that doesn’t mean a casual outfit can’t still be cute! As Emily Ratajkowski proved this weekend in New York, you can elevate a sweatsuit and turn it into a statement look. The key is in the proportions and the accessories.

Ratajkowski was spotted while walking downtown and perfected the art of looking stylishly dressed. The model wore classic gray sweatpants with a sporty bra top; the hint of skin made the look less lazy and more purposeful. Instead of a matching gray sweater, she put a practical button-down chore jacket over it. Her accessories, like her sporty sneakers and shield shields, tied in with the athletic inspiration of the look.
The look proves you can roll out of bed and still be paparazzi-ready; just think of layering and different proportions. And when in doubt, cool sunglasses will always be the solution.
