Chambé also explained that, based on Marinos’ initial reports, it will most likely arrive between mid-March and early April.
“The season starts when the wind starts to change. So far, the cold fronts are continuing. At the Ministry of Public Services, we are prepared for its arrival as every year,” he said.
Currently 180 people are in charge of cleaning the public beaches, but if necessary Another 200 people from various municipal departments will be seconded to tackle the sargasso.
