Hilary Duff Surprises Fans with Good Charlotte Reunion at Madison Square Garden

Hilary Duff is currently delighting fans on her Lucky Me Tour, and her recent show at Madison Square Garden was no exception. During her performance on Aug. 5, the singer surprised the audience by bringing out Good Charlotte, including her ex-boyfriend Joel Madden and his brother Benji.

After a heartfelt performance of her new song “Adult Size Medium,” Duff hinted at a special surprise for the New York crowd. She then introduced Good Charlotte, who joined her on stage to perform their hit song “The Anthem” from 2002.

Interestingly, Duff had been teasing the surprise appearance through her tour outfits, wearing vintage T-shirts featuring various artists each night. On the night of the concert, she wore a Good Charlotte shirt, foreshadowing the reunion with Joel and Benji.

Although Duff and Joel dated from 2004 to 2006, their bond has remained strong over the years. They even collaborated on Duff’s singles “Wake Up” and “Beat Of My Heart” in 2005, both of which were included in her current tour setlist.

Since their relationship ended, Duff and Joel have maintained a close friendship, with their families also forming strong connections. Joel’s wife, Nicole Richie, was present at the concert and joined the group backstage for a memorable photo.

In a recent interview on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” Duff expressed her continued friendship with Joel and his family, highlighting their regular interactions and close bond as neighbors.
