If you were touched by the emotional pull of Netflix’s Voicemails for Isabelle or found yourself eagerly anticipating your own love story unfolding through your phone, then the audio erotica app Quinn is poised to captivate you next.

While Nick Robinson may have charmed audiences as Wes, he is now embracing a new role as the latest star of Quinn. Set to take the lead in a new two-episode installment of Quinn Originals, Robinson will bring to life a captivating friends-to-lovers romance. The Honeymooners is scheduled to debut at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, July 23, with a tantalizing preview already accessible here.

Caroline Spiegel, the founder and CEO of Quinn, found the choice of Robinson for this role to be a natural fit following the success of Voicemails for Isabelle. “Seeing the incredible response to Voicemails for Isabelle made it clear how much people missed the heartfelt, nostalgic rom-coms of the 2010s,” she shares. “Nick felt like the perfect person to bring that energy to a spicy summer rom-com about realizing the person you’ve loved all along has been right in front of you.”

In The Honeymooners, Robinson portrays Henry, the childhood best friend of Tess Cooper. Their bond is so strong that Henry was set to be Tess’ man-of-honor until her fiancé abruptly called off the wedding. As Henry stands by his friend during this tumultuous time, he finds himself accompanying Tess on her would-be honeymoon to a beach in Mexico, leading to an unforeseen shift in their relationship.

Robinson finds the friends-to-lovers dynamic adds an extra layer of intensity to the narrative. “The story of Henry and Tess is truly about intimacy and security,” he explains. “Their comfort and trust in each other create a sense of safety, which is undeniably alluring.”

Although stepping into the realm of narrating erotica was a new territory for Robinson, he embraced the challenge wholeheartedly. “I was both excited and nervous — this was a completely new experience for me,” he admits. “It presented a fresh challenge, and I was up for it.”

Robinson joins a lineup of popular heartthrobs who have headlined Quinn Originals, including Rob Rausch, Manny Jacinto, and Chris Briney. Quinn encourages its audience to immerse themselves in the stories, with Robinson directly narrating The Honeymooners to the listener, inviting them to step into Tess’ shoes as they embark on a journey of self-discovery and realization that their decades-long friendship may hold deeper, non-platonic feelings.

“I believe what Quinn is offering is truly remarkable,” Robinson remarks on his collaboration with the brand. “Presenting romantic tales tailored for a female audience and portrayed from a female perspective — that’s truly captivating.”
