Summer Fridays have added a few new makeup launches to their lip pencil range! They launched a SoftLine Lip Liner Long-Lasting Lip Pencil ($20 each) and Flushed Lip Stain ($22). These are available now at Sephora and Summer Fridays. I received the full set to try and review and as someone who struggles with lip liners showing up on my pigmented lips, I am 10/10 happy with this launch!
SoftLine Lip Liner Long-lasting lip pencil

nail polish: Stunn N Done
The highlight for me is definitely the SoftLine Lip Liner Long-Lasting Lip Pencil. This comes in 8 shades and what I like about these is that they really look like a traditional lip liner pencil. The lasting power is very good, but I appreciate that these aren’t like the gel pencils that are completely kink-resistant as they tend to look dry on my lips over time. A more traditional pencil like this is easier on my lips, especially when they are dry.
The formula is smooth, but not slippery like Merit’s (which is more shiny). I love the pigment, even the lighter shades show up on my pigmented lips with very good coverage. I love the shade range in this formula. I find every color flattering!

I swatched this on my entire lip for reference, although normally I would just outline the outer edges and then find a matching gloss or lipstick to coordinate.
Flushed lip stain

The Flushed Lip Stains are beautiful and the pigment is exceptionally good. Personally, I don’t like stains because there is something about my lips that darkens liquid lipsticks and lip stains to an unrecognizable color. What I see on my lips rarely matches a swatch or what I see in the applicator.
I think the product is excellent and the lasting power is certainly there. I tried to remove the swatches from my arm and the stain lingered even with a two-phase makeup remover. I couldn’t test them all with my lips because the stain adhered so well to my lips that I felt like if I swatched more the colors would blend.
In short, love. I also like the combination combinations with the Lip Butter Balms. I haven’t played extensively with combining different shades yet, but I love the colors they created.
