Review of the GHD Sculpt Hair Straightener
Upon opening the box, I was immediately impressed by the slim and lightweight design of the GHD Sculpt Hair Styler. Opting for the white version added a chic touch to my collection dominated by black hair tools. The 26mm infinity™ plates are narrower than what I’m used to, but the tool’s lightweight and compact feel were instantly noticeable.
Initially, I was skeptical about the slim plates as my hair is thick, long, and prone to knots. I prefer wider plates for handling larger sections while straightening. However, upon using the Sculpt after washing and blow-drying my hair, I was pleasantly surprised. The futuristic sound it emitted when ready to use added to its appeal.

While ghd claims the Sculpt can provide smoother, shinier results faster than its original styler, I didn’t find it significantly faster in styling my hair. Due to the slim plates, I still had to work in small sections. For those with thick or long hair like mine, wider plates might be more time-efficient.
Where the Sculpt truly shone was in the finish it delivered. My hair appeared incredibly smooth, shiny, and remarkably straight, with the style lasting throughout the day. This longevity in sleekness was a pleasant surprise, eliminating the need for touch-ups with products like the Bed Head Wax Stick.
