Strangely enough, spring brings families and rowdy “Spring Breakers” alike to Florida’s pristine beaches, while summer brings an invasion of seemingly all walks of life.
The crowds start to thin out in September, but it is Florida after all…
Finding a quiet spot on a beautiful beach in this state is no easy task, regardless of the season.
The good news is that you don’t have to visit the state’s most famous names for a blissful beach vacation.

Overshadowed by Miami, Panama City, Clearwater and all the other vacation hotspots Marco Islanda popular seaside resort for sun and sand among locals and in-the-know tourists.
This spectacular island resembles a Russian doll, revealing layer upon layer of hidden gems.
If you think this beach town is amazing, wait until you see the raw beauty of it Keewaydin!
An 8-mile stretch of pure beach bliss
His palms are sweaty, knees are weak, arms are heavy… There is shape…
Sorry, I had to hype myself up for this section…

Some 8 miles are places you want to avoid, but this 8-mile stretch of secret paradise is exactly where you want to be!
Forget the noise of other bustling Florida beaches; the only sound you want to hear is the song of your choice and the roar of the boat engine on an amazing trip to this beautiful remote island.
Keewaydin Island is a school paradise.
Sometimes we forget that places like Cancun, Los Cabos and Punta Cana were once as untouched as Keewaydin is today.
No fancy hotels, no eyesore chain restaurants – just lush greenery, swimmable turquoise water and soft white sand.

Some places borrow the word “island” to make themselves sound sexy.
Take Coronado, a popular peninsula outside San Diego that claims to be an island looking to increase its tourism appeal.
However, here is a real barrier island with unspoiled natural resources like the interior Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve surrounded by 13 kilometers of paradise sand and pristine waters, one of the many reasons why it is one of them Southern Living favorite hiding places.
It is the ultimate escape from the hustle and bustle and everyday stress, where you can relax with the locals and enjoy yourself Real Beaches in Florida without sky-high resorts and cheap attractions.
‘We don’t need roads where we’re going’…But you do need a boat
Nearby Naples is a luxury beach town where you will have no trouble finding a boat to reach Keewaydin.

Check out Waterways and nature tours in Naples for Keewaydin tours from $55.
Otherwise, you’ll have to charter a boat or make friends quickly! Boats also leave from Marco Island so you can go island hopping with the Hemingway Water Shuttle for only $22. Can’t beat that!
You arrive at the calm waters of the bay, where you then take a narrow path to virtually crowd-free white sandy beaches.
Be sure to bring a lounge chair, picnic blankets, and anything else deemed necessary.
However, there is one unique aspect that you don’t have to worry about.

Picnicking is common here, but Just beach burgers has you covered otherwise. Food trucks may be popular all over the world, but food boats are a Florida staple.
It’s not quite room service, but this is as close as you can get on an island paradise without hotels.
Fun fact: it is Keewaydin Island only pet friendly beach in the Naples region, so feel free to bring your furry friend on vacation! (Both of the above boat services allow pets.)
The perfect place Swim, snorkel and shell
Usually beachgoers are happy if they can do one of the following: swimming, snorkeling or hunting for shells.

Some of the most popular beaches in the world don’t tick all three boxes, but Keewaydin ticks all the boxes.
While the famous text ‘The only worry in the world is that the tide will reach my seat‘ applies here, the only real concern is that you are aware of other water sports enthusiasts and unpredictable strong currents.
The water is warm and clear, so you can enjoy a nice dip or a dive to explore the ocean floor.
A recent visitor claimed on TripAdvisor: ‘Great shelling, lots of room to spread out, plenty of beaches to walk and enjoy’.
