This rooftop bar and restaurant in Waikiki Shopping Plaza hosts a New Year’s Eve party called Enter the new year festively. For a ticket price of $100 you get a free drink, a selection of snacks and a live DJ. With its modern Mexican cuisine, varied cocktail list and great views of the fireworks, Buho Cantina y Cocina is a great place to ring in the new year.
New Year’s Eve Cruises
If you can’t get a spot on the beach to watch the fireworks, you can still see them by opting for one of the New Year’s Eve cruises, such as the Start of Honolulu Midnight Cruise or the E Sea Diver New Year’s Eve Boat Cruise. In the former you can enjoy a five-star dinner, live jazz and a champagne toast, while in the latter you can bring your own food and drinks.
This is one great event to take kids because they will be busy watching the traditional hula, Tahitian dance and fire knife performances. There will also be tributes to Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley, as well as a luau dinner buffet before the show. You can choose to just go to the show and eat somewhere else, or buy the whole package.
