How often can we start between Hard Rock Café, Señor Frogs and Cabo Wabo Cantina before we realize that we fall for a tourist trap instead of enjoying the magic of the unknown with culturally rich destinations?

As for the Caribbean, Cancun, Punta Cana and Montego Bay are fantastic, but there is a missing link between flashy resorts and authenticity, where we are magnetized as moths to a light bulb through the comfort of endless buffets, swimming bar cocktails of the roughly speeches in a foolish speelingen in a foolish spare speelingen character.
If you long for something that goes beyond the usual holiday hotspot, we have collected the most underhyped destinations, ranging from Mexican gems to unprecedented card cities that will forget charm, pristine coasts and unexpected pleasures in the Caribbean for a summer escape!
Port Antonio, Jamaica
Most travelers think that Kingston is a landfill and serves more as a gateway instead of a beach city except the hidden gem I have found.

Most holidaymakers present Montego Bay and Negl for a paradisal retreat, but culture and compound experiences go along the road.
That is where Port Antonio enters. Sent with beautiful coastlines with much fewer crowds and resorts at a distance enough to feel unavailable touristy, the north side of Jamaica is teeming with pristine landscapes instead of the soft comfort of Montego Bay that you could be at home.
With majestic waterfalls, postcards, a “blue lagoon” Iceland would blush, green coffee farms and hole-in-the-wall jerk chicken stands that would bring Colonel Sanders out of operation, Port Antonio is not only one of Jamaica’s quite competent secrets, but the whole Caribbean.
Barahona, Dominican Republic

Returning to what I said about Señor Frogs and Route Bloat, Barahona is the opposite if you would compare it directly with Punta Cana.
Although it is not that Punta Cana is still a furious success, more travelers venture to the emerging resort destinations of the Dominican Republic such as Samana, Miches and Puerto Plata. Rarely do you hear from Barahona, an untouched turquoise-water paradise that is known as “La Perla del Sur,” translates to “The Pearl of the South” for those at the back of their Rosetta Stone lessons.
With resorts that pop up everywhere in the above destinations, Barahona is one of the few in the nation who feels really untouched.

Coming here is, for example, even easier than Samana. Fly to the capital, Santo Domingo, and jump on board a 2.5-hour bus ride to a paradise where even Jimmy Buffett could only dream of that you want to skip cheeseburgers here instead of fresh seafood.
Instead of a flashy resort, book a boutique stay in Hotel YamirWith an impressive 4.8 Google rating and even more impressive rates for just $ 29 per night!
Chetumal, Mexico
Tulum may lose its shine, but Chetumal only has a top with similar attractions such as the old ones ruins. But this cultural hiding place that hugs the border of the Mexico-white is far away from Cancun, but that is the attraction.

Instead of towering resorts along the coast, chetumal is wrapped by lively waters along the picturesque Malecòn and picturesque walkable city streets and alleys that do not feel touristy.
I went to 16 destinations in Mexico and Chetumal was one of the biggest surprises with its affordable luxury, phenomenal cuisine, the welcome of the locals and access to some of the best off-path beaches in Mexico such as Mahahual and what the most beautiful destination in Mexico is-bacalar.
Tela, Honduras
If Honduras is on your radar, it is probably the beautiful islands of Roatàn or Utila that have attracted your attention.
That is where tourists are going, but the locals prefer tela, just an hour and a half from San Pedro Sula, the most popular gateway to Honduras.

The piece of paradise about what is essentially an undiscovered beach paradise because of the masses that opt for more remarkable names.
There is not much Pizazz here as far as it stays on the beach, rather sensational seafood huts, sand bars and boutique remain as top appreciated Hotel Y Cabañas Villas del Mar.
Tela is very popular according to local standards. For more seclusion company Punta Sal National Park Near for crowd-free bays, crystal clear waters and lush jungles.
Livingston, Guatemala
If you thought Guatemala consisted exclusively of colonial cities, volcanic walks and amazing lakes, think carefully again!

Most travelers do not realize that Guatemala has a Caribbean coastline, and Livingston is the only city you have to extend when you are ready for the adventure.
Livingston is only accessible by boat and is a wonderful, remote hiding place worth the tour for the furthest thing from a typical Caribbean outing with pristine beaches, no Ritzy all-inclusive and fascinating Garifuna culture (a mix of African and native traditions also shown in Tela, Honduras).
There are numerous eateries by the sea that serve a new local cuisine with a beautiful view of the Caribbean and those who made the trip have loved their stay Hotel Villa Caribe.
Whatever you do, hit the Siete AltaresA series of beautiful waterfalls and swimming holes in the area.
