Give the Californian Exodus or the never-ending crowd of Florida, but one unsuspecting southern state increases with surprisingly diverse destinations that travelers can choose from.
Whether it is river voltage, shiny white sandy islands or serene coasthideaways, it is not to be denied that the increase in Mississippi is in popularity.
Few places rays from typical southern charm and spacious beaches such as the state. I have to sing a song to help me spell.

As such, more people have taken note of it, resulting in 2 of the south fastest growing Beach cities settled along what has become one of America’s most troubled coastlines.
With Biloxi that not only becomes a destination in itself, but also a popular springboard with connecting beach outings, such as Gulfport, Ship Island and Ocean Springs, who just opened the long -awaited OS 1515 Boutique Hotel in the city centerThe coast of Mississippi finally gets owed.
But they are not Ocean Springs, Biloxi or a baritone of City Johnny Cash that grows rapidly – it is a few bridge friends who are put along the picturesque wave and are split on the bay with the same name.
Pass Christian: Small city Charm meets calm, lively coasts

Pass Christian. Ever heard of?
Normally that answer would be a difficult ‘no’ across the board, but the truth is that this lesser -known beach city has experienced considerable growth in the last 5 years, where censuses must be double seeing the figures.
While Pass Christian Low-Key remains for travelers, there is a reason why so many people are moving here, and that is because it is a unicorn in a sea of some hidden gems that remain with lively white sand, a hospitable community and affordability in this time of information overload.
But don’t worry-net as Ocean Springs embraces more tourists along the coast, Pass Christian is well equipped to become a new holiday hotspot.

No, there are no flashy resorts such as Biloxi, but there are countless holiday homes, including houses on the beach and the city center Whiskey Hotel.
I don’t know how you are, but they had me in the hotel WhiskeyWhichever other people seem to resonate, because there are such praising reviews, such as a recent guest claims ‘Love the Self-Check-in’, adding: ‘The room is so cheap for the space’.
That must be the reason why it is one 2024 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award winner.
What is even more attractive is how friendly locals are. It is the type of place where you can take a bar stool at a local seafood hut Shaggies And walk away with a new friend – and if you are lucky, the friend will have a yacht.
Chances are that Pass Christian has the second oldest yacht club in the US
Bay St. Louis: Baysside Bliss & Southern Soul

Bay St. Louis hugs both the Gulf Coast and Bay St. Louis, the actual bay, with the Bay St. Louis Bridge who connects little known Henderson Point and the aforementioned Pass Christian.
And that is enough typing of “Bay St. Louis” for now …
This serene slice of paradise is a small white -sandy hiding place that a rustic charm in the city and wide open ooses, perfect for a summer escape, such as local favorite Bay St. Louis Beach.
Although you would not expect lively blue waters, such as the Caribbean-like surroundings of Florida, the soft, fateing sand cannot be denied what the doctor ordered for a relaxing beach day.
This is even an important reason why we were ahead of the curve, so that Bay St. Louis unveiled the most undervalued coastal holiday of the south this year.

While Pass Christian still comes up from a tourism perspective, visitors will find a broader range of accommodations ranging from Hollywood Casino & Resort Gulf Coast Nostalgic bed and breakfasts such as Carroll House Bed & BreakfastLocated in the heart of the charming old city.
How (and when) visit
Because it is so small and just owes them, neither Bay St. Louis nor Pass -Christists has their own airports, but in the vicinity of Gulfport it has a limited flight service of 5 airlines.
Good news is that both cities are about an hour of New Orleans, which also explains why both cities are going fast for Mardi Gras (mark your agendas!).

If another alternative you can also check flights to mobile, which is only an hour and a half away.
The new commercial airport of Gulf Shores is probably a bit too far out of reach to justify that making your base in one of these cities.
The point is that there is no shortage of options with the right planning. Apart from potential hurricanes, who can always be a threat along the Golf for six months, it is great again on the Mississippi coast all year round for sunny beach days.
Expect these toastic afternoons with highlights of 89 this summer, but rarely immerse them under the mid -70s.
