New flights are one thing. New airports, however? Those are travels from unicorns.
That is the case for Tepic, a very underestimated domestic city is advertised as the next hotspot from Mexico.
This 500-year-old city is a great starting point for a grand adventure along 200 miles from the coastline of the Pacific in Riviera Nayarit, a vast paradise overshadowed by Puerto Vallarta.

Tepic will not only serve an alternative airport for PV, but also as the upper access point in an abundance of the best rising beach cities in Mexico, such as Sayulita, as well as numerous Pueblo Magicos for a feeling of Real Mexico.
History has already been set up with the very first American flight on July 16.
But … United says, keep my CervezaOne-Uping Mexico’s groundbreaking flight from Volaris as The first American courier Flying directly to Tepic (TPQ) and we can no longer be over at Travel Off Path!
United’s new flight to Tepic: Huge history and lesser known coasts

It doesn’t matter if you are ready to dive deep into a fascinating historic city or are ready to make your best starfish print on a crowd-free beach, United makes this winter much easier to this side of Mexico.
Tepic has charming boutique instead of cookie-cutter name brands and an authentic taste (literally) of the renowned kitchen of Mexico, plus great natural attractions such as shiny lagoons, such as shiny lagoons, such as Santa Maria del Oroset to the foothills of Tepic’s picturesque mountain background.
Set to launch December 20, 2025United will be the first American airline to fly to Tepic just in time for one Feliz Navidad south of the border.

You can avoid the bustle of Puerto Vallarta by flying directly to the latest airport in Mexico, while Tepic has added a completely new international terminal.
The new flight from United works from Houston and offers two weekly flights on Wednesday and Saturday, on a plane with 76 seats.
The new flight of Volaris
As mentioned, United pushes his understanding in the face of Volaris, the most popular airline in Mexico (for better or worse).
Regardless of the no-frills flight experience (although some flights are equipped with $ 1 WiFi), the international monopoly of Volaris will be of short duration after this week’s inaugural launch from Los Angeles.

The new flights from Canada
Don’t worry, friendly northern neighbors! Canada is not omitted from the escape of infamous cold winters throughout the country.
Set to launch December 13, 2025Westjet launches the first flight from Canada to TPQ with weekly service once a week alone on Saturday.
Air Canada will follow December 17, 2025 Van Vancouver with weekly service once a week only on Wednesday.

Forget Puerto Vallarta! More beaches of world class wait
As great as a few days in Tepic Sound, even more a draw for more visitors will be the beaches of world class that wait, which still have to be discovered by the masses.
The truth is that a large part of the tourists who visit Puerto Vallarta stays within the city borders, but not me!
I was lucky to visit the lively beach city Sayulita On my recent vacation from Puerto Vallarta, and I absolutely see why it is an emerging hotspot that will certainly attract more tourists as soon as Tepic Flights begin.

In an official press release, Sayulita is one of the 3 beach cities mentioned in Good Company with Punta Mita and Nuevo Nayarit.
Although you could claim that places such as the Surfstad San Blas, and few well -known hiding places such as Bacarias and Guayabitos are also worthy mentions.
Is Tepic ready for a tourism tree?
Ever flown in in Puerto Vallarta? You can not only be hunted by taxi drivers, but also by guides.
If it is not at the airport, then you will certainly see them somewhere else as if they have their gringo glasses (I am this trademark) to perform holidaymakers.
To make a long story short, I almost missed my flight to Puerto Vallarta last April and watched Vliegen from Tijuana to Tepic as a backup plan.

I soon realized that this was a bad idea, because transport to one of the aforementioned beach cities is missing, where a stunning prices for Ubers or Taxis and rickety public transport were the only options.
The good news is that Tepic is largely considered safe, so in theory you can rent a car and only navigate through the region.
However, when people are in the “holiday mode”, it is always a nice advantage to have a guide, the dirty work.
Exploring Tepic is easy Peasy. TPQ is just 25 minutes from the city center. As I said, most travelers will pack swimwear and Sunblock in search of less dried coasts.

A quick Google search from “Tepic to San Blas, Mexico Excursion” generated zero options, while the same search from Puerto Vallarta filled the entire first page.
