Believe it or not, BOise has become one of the trendy cities of America in recent years, causing real estate to rise and airlines lick their pork chops, ready to anchor the airport.
Not much has changed – not even their famous blue football field.
One of the best times to visit Idaho is during the fall, a time when Boise is extra lively at the weekend to root on their beloved Boise State Broncos, and when summer weekends go back to California (usually).

But what those weekends are missing is the rest of the state beyond Boise’s borderline ridiculous baking ratio, small city feeling and lush greenery that as a natural curtain this lively capital.
When I visited Boise Pre-Pandemic, it was just a gateway to what immediately became one of my favorite states to travel, and the best stop was on the way Twin FallsKnown as the “Niagara of the West”.
This underhyped stunner was just characterized by Matador network As a must visit autumn feature, and we at Travel Off Path also give our stamp of approval.
Fly of Drive: Just go to Twin Falls!

Twin Falls has a must visit like BOise, at least fall.
The best part of it is that you can choose how you can get there. Of course there is nothing more Americana than an old -fashioned road trip.
Well, as old -fashioned as Apple CarPlay And the latest Gizmos and Gadgets let them be …
If you fly to Boise, you have no idea that the picturesque drive is in the store as soon as you leave the city borders.
Although it was years since I had the pleasure of visiting, I still have flashes back in my mind to the open winding roads that cross rolling agricultural land and meandering valleys before I finally reached the most undervalued destination of Idaho, Twin Falls.

The amount of green surprised me, but I visited in the spring. As soon as we are in the middle of the fall, the journey will certainly become an even more magical drive.
But if you are just unable to drive BOise, Twin Falls has an airport that connects to one big hub, Salt Lake City via Delta.
Upon arrival, no matter how you get here, you will be welcomed by a charismatic district in the city center covered with Indie coffee shops, breweries and local boutiques.
It is the perfect area to take a break from behind the wheel or picked flight before you record all nearby natural attractions.
Amazing nature is waiting for

The place that I remember most of my 48 hours in Twin Falls was not a Niagara Falls Dupe – it was amazing Perrine bridge Standing almost 500 feet high and frame the Snake River down like a painting.
The views are simply unparalleled, regardless of the way to turn you. This technical miracle is a great starting point for Twin Falls, so you know this city is not rumbling.
In the same way as people from the entire mainland the Grand Canyon or Mt. Rushmore making an end cap to a road trip, Twin Falls is definitely worth a chair at the same table, and the beautiful view of the Snake River Gorge is just the tip of the iceberg.

Minutes from the center, Dierkes Lake Is perhaps the best hidden gem of the city … anyway for outsiders. It is tucked away from the “bustle” of the city in a quiet area for kayaking or a picturesque walk.
And to make your feet wet, so to speak, before you go to Twin Falls ‘Niagara’, view a waterfall that many visitors skip, Perrine Coulee Fallsshoot more than 200 feet along the canyon walls of the Snake River.
Shoshone Falls: the “Niagara of the West”
Buffalo may be hyped as one of America’s biggest surprises this year, but now that we are after the end of 2025, report Indicate that Niagara has not had in the area A great turnout so far.

Although Shoshone Falls hardly has the same level of fame as Niagara, it has a few things for bragging for bragging:
- You don’t have to wear Goofy Poncho to get up close
- You don’t have to fight crowds
- It is estimated 45 feet longer than Niagara Falls
Shoshone falls down 212 feet and spreads approximately 900 feet wide. Spring blooms where I witnessed, only reinforced the already impressive natural miracle, but do not sleep on wild flowers replaced by golden cottonwoods and autumn Aspen.

The surrounding park is well equipped with designated picnic areas with a view of Snake River, and there is an overhang over the waterfalls to take pictures or hang around and take everything with you.
The entrance fee is only $ 5 per vehicle. Know that the water flow is unpredictable, so some days in the fall are more photow -based than others.
